About us
We are two couples who together own Palmera Penthouse. We completely fell in love with this region: a beautiful area that offers so much all year round.
Our local host Flamingo Holidays will take care of everything on the spot: key handling, cleaning, and any questions you may have. We hope you enjoy Palmera Penthouse as much as we do!
Alwin and Atje
With our two children, we love to be active on our holidays, preferably in the mountains. In just 30 minutes you can reach some wonderful hiking trails, for example around Orihuela. The spectacular views are a fantastic reward after a great hike.
The area has so many good restaurants. Nearby is our favourite, Las Cuevas, a restaurant set in a 500-year-old cave — a truly special experience.
Or visit the fish market or restaurants of Santa Pola: very fresh food, your feet in the sand and a lovely glass of Spanish wine to go with it. Lovely!

Neeltje and Frank
We love that we are in an area with so many ancient towns and cities. Together with our two children, we have visited them all — preferably during a cultural event. Luckily, the Spanish love to celebrate, so there is always something going on throughout the year.
Our favourite beach is Cabo Roig. After a swim, enjoy some tapas or a paella at La Bahía.
We also like exploring the beautiful inland region by car. Particularly enchanting is the Valle de Ricote — an absolute must-see, we think.
